Kingston, ON — Holiday Spice, the annual holiday drag show fundraiser founded and produced by Kingston drag artist and community leader Tyffanie Morgan, raised $1,692 in support of Rainbow Railroad during its December 6, 2025 event at the Grad Club.
Now firmly established as a cornerstone of Kingston’s drag and fundraising calendar, Holiday Spice brings together performance, community, and charitable giving each holiday season. Under Morgan’s leadership as organizer, producer, host, and creative director, the event has grown into a highly anticipated tradition—one that drag artists and audiences alike begin asking about months in advance.
“This event started as an idea to give back and has become something the community looks forward to each year,” says Morgan. “Seeing artists reach out as early as October to ask when Holiday Spice is happening tells me we’ve built something meaningful.”
The 2025 edition featured a lineup of Kingston drag artists who donated their time, talent, and artistry in support of the cause. In addition to performances, the evening included a playful and successful fundraising twist: limited-edition Rowena Whey and Tyffanie Morgan cookies, two of which were auctioned off and raised over $100 alone.
Holiday Spice has been hosted at the Grad Club for many years, with the venue once again supporting the fundraiser by donating food for attendees. Guests enjoyed a generous spread including brownies, chicken tenders, and diabetic-friendly veggie trays, helping to create a warm, inclusive, and celebratory atmosphere.
Launched under the Holiday Spice banner following earlier holiday drag fundraisers dating back to 2017, the event has evolved into a signature production known for its heart, humour, and community impact. What began as a single fundraiser has grown into a sustained annual effort that continues to raise vital funds while celebrating drag as both art and activism.
“I’m deeply grateful to the performers, volunteers, and partners who contribute to Holiday Spice each year,” Morgan adds. “I want to thank and name all 12 drag artists who played a part in this year’s fundraiser: Amygdala, Annihilation, BeeWitched, BlowPony, Dare de LaFemme, Dixon Faye Ryder, ProbleMatthew, Rowena Whey, Street Meat, Sundae Mourning, Whiplash, and Yuni Verse. And thank you to my ‘Door Gremlin’, too!”
With another successful year complete, Holiday Spice remains a shining example of how locally produced drag events can create lasting impact, foster community connection, and support international LGBTQ+ human rights work.
