Grow with Me

Tyffanie

Join me in growing from seed and sharing our experiences throughout the growing process. #GrowWithT

To participate, get seeds of plants I’m going to be growing and listen to Breakfast with Tyffanie. Then join me and others on Facebook and share our growing experience together. We’ll germinate, plant, and grow the seeds. Share photos and stories of our accomplishments and even our failures. It will be fun!

Seeds I will be buying, growing and sharing with you:

Cucumber – Isnik Hybrid

Excellent mini cucumbers for container gardens. Shiny green finger-length (4”/10cm) cucumbers with smooth skins and sweet taste make for a crisp, fresh snack. High yielding plants (up to 5 fruits per leaf axil) are perfect for container cultivation, small gardens and greenhouses.

Tomato – Mountain Merit

Large determinate that has excellent late blight resistance. This round, deep red 8-10oz fruit will delight you with its juicy mild flavour, with just the right firmness of texture. With many disease resistances, this tomato would be ideal for home gardeners and organic growers as well.

Cucamelon / Mouse Melon

A unique plant which rewards you with tiny green striped fruit with a delicious and unique flavour. These cucamelons are productive and have great disease resistance. Perfect for snacking, pickling or adding to salads. We all need that unique fruit we’ve never tried before!

Nasturtium flower – Empress of India

Dark foliage and scarlet flowers make this an exotic beauty in the garden. Does well in bedding and flower pots.

Pole bean – Blauhilde

A deep purple pole bean with long, fleshy, oval pods of 9-11” length. Higher yields and healthier than other purple pole types. Beans turn green when cooked.

Local saved marigold seeds

I have these marigold seeds I’ve saved over the years. This is a photo from 2018. They make great fillers for garden beds and pots. They are short and have lovely colours like this photo with the oranges. The seeds originated from a local seed exchange (Seedy Saturday) a few years ago. A real gem. Message me and I can send you some seeds (pending supply but I saved allot of seed).

Where do I get these seeds

These seeds are sold commercially on Veseys or William Dam Seeds.

I want to participate but not with these seeds

If you don’t get these seeds, no problem. Please share your growing experiences with the seeds you grow or of your garden.

I will also be growing other seeds and plants. I’ll be sharing them on Facebook, too!

When?

Join the Facebook group and listen to Breakfast with Tyffanie for updates. Closer to end of February/beginning of March for most indoor plant starting.
