Day 13: Thinning out my peas

Tyffanie

What is thinning? Thinning is giving your plants. An opportunity to be their best self. To be the biggest and strongest plant on the block. Growing in a pot means there is finite resources including route run. By keeping to one plant per pot, we ensure maximizing the opportunity of that one plant.

Today I thinned my pea pants. I always dread doing this task. It’s hard to choose which one to keep and which ones will be sacrificed for the salad plate. We will see if I made the right choices. Grow babies grow.

This is day 13 and we’ve made so much progress. Look at all these strong babies. I can’t believe I got 100% germination on them. Left to their own, I’m sure they would do so well. But this is for education and science and… I gotta thin them out. Oh and they seem to really like life under this grow light!

Pea plants. 1 per pot.
