Patterns for All Bodies

Tyffanie

Are you like me with interests in history, reproduction and drag? Patterns for All Bodies is an exciting project at the Agnes Etherington Art Centre, Queens University, Kingston. They are taking clothing from Agnes’ historical collection and translating them into garment patterns. Patterns where people will be able to access and reproduce. That’s where I jump in. Part of the project is to reproduce a garment using today’s fabrics and materials with a drag aesthetic twist. I love a good twist.

My finished garment will be presented at the Historical Costume Ball Drag Show Fashion Pageant Spectacular (a mouth full) on January 24, 2024. But that’s not it! There will be a full week of programming yet to be announced. Stay tuned. There will be lots of activities that week.
