Garden art with purpose
I have amazing friends. Truly amazing friends. When I made call out on my socials whether people thought I could make an obelisk trellis, the answer was “No, but we’ll make you one!”. Delivered late last week, please welcome my new obelisk trellis.
Currently, I am painting it with whatever paint left around the house. Of course, it’s some white paint. Nonetheless, it looks divine! I can’t wait to watch the winter squash growing up it.
I asked for garden supports for winter squash. At first, I looked at an arbor type trellis. I can feel the magic of walking through a tunnel of growing squash plants Practicality did win over in the end. But how could you not call this obelisk magical? Imagine fruit hanging from it? Divine! It’s garden art with a purpose.
Thank you to my unnamed heroes who worked and delivered this beauty to my home. They appreciate no shout outs and I respect that. I can’t wait to finish painting it and getting it into the garden.
A side note: Yes, I’m failing in my #30in30 type challenge. I wanted to challenge myself to write every day for 30 days. Well, things happen. I’m not letting it bug me. We still have many days moving forward.
